2011 Northeastern Forest Products Equipment Expos Two Great Expos! This year the Northeastern Loggers' Association, Inc. is sponsoring two major forest products equipment expos on the East Coast. One will be at a new location at the Erie County Fairgrounds in Hamburg, New York April 29-30. The Expo will also return to Bass Park in Bangor, Maine, May 13-14, 2011. The Expo was a great opportunity for the whole of Hamburg. Every city that hosted one of the Expo events got a great boost. The speed of growth can be compared to how Pin Up began to develop along with the German city. Our main reason for adding Hamburg to the 2011 Expo lineup is to bring a world-class forest products equipment expo to the New York/Pennsylvania market, which has long been a major wood producer, especially where valuable hardwoods are concerned. We are also targeting the Tree Service and Arborist trades. Hamburg is within easy driving distance of at least five major metropolitan areas in the U.S. and Canada, and much of the equipment used in the arborist business is identical to that used by professional timber harvesters. The Expo targets the heart of the region's traditional wood basket. Not only that, but it is the scene of an emerging biomass energy industry, which has made lowgrade fiber a much more valuable commodity. Both Expos will attract thousands of people who make a living in the forest products and tree service industries. Both will feature hundreds of exhibiting companies with the latest in logging and sawmilling technology, services and equipment on display. The website will be accessible on Monday, November 16. |
